AOMEI Backupper Standard is a free data protection utility for Windows PCs. It enables users to create system images, copy disks or partitions, and safeguard personal files against unexpected data loss.

The program supports system imaging, full disk and partition protection, as well as file and folder selection. Users can restore the operating system, specific drives, or individual items when needed.

Cloning features allow transferring a system or storage device to another disk, which is useful when upgrading to an SSD. By default, the software uses intelligent sector technology to copy only used space, improving efficiency.

The application also provides synchronization functions to keep selected directories consistent between locations. Automated tasks can be configured with scheduled operations, including incremental and differential methods to optimize storage usage.

In addition, users can create bootable rescue media (USB, CD/DVD, or ISO) to access recovery tools if Windows fails to start.

Basic configuration options such as compression, image splitting, and limited encryption are available. Some advanced capabilities offered in higher editions are not included in the Standard version.

The interface is designed to be straightforward, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced users.
